Today I’ll show you how to make a pretty button bracelet. A very easy project, but with a stunning original result ! For this project you will need :
- Approx. 30-40cm (12-15 ½ inches) of gros-grain ribbon (no wider than 10mm across)
- 1 wooden button with slits such as THIS ONE
- 2 ribbon clamps
- 2 5-6mm jumprings
- 1 magnetic clasp
Start with measuring your wrist circumference. My wrist measures 15 cm (6 in). I cut two lengths of gros-grain each measuring 15 cm (6 in). If you like tight bracelets (as I do), cut the ribbon 1 cm (½ inch) shorter. Then thread ribbon through button as follows:
Next, attach the ribbon clamps. Then, you only need to join the ribbon clamp to the rings, and attach those to the magnetic clasp.
And that’s all there is to it ! You now have a very unique and comfortable bracelet : I keep wearing mine every single day and I’m sure you’ll have tons of compliments wearing yours !
This is a project you’ll have fun making over and over again with various buttons and ribbons, either with kids or adults.
Please feel free to send me pictures of the bracelets you’ll make. And have a great crafty week!
