This is a perfect project to use and show off your beautiful vintage buttons. So easy to make, this necklace will add a touch of flair to casual wear, or add an original touch to evening wear.
You will need:
- 5 big vintage buttons, rather flat, measuring approximately 28 mm across
- 5 small vintage buttons, measuring approximately 14-18 mm across
- a cord of your choice; I used a 46 cm (18 inches) cord
- sewing thread matching color of cord
The most difficult task – and most fun altogether – is to find buttons which look good once stacked on top of each other. Make sure the small buttons work fine with the large buttons.

Then you only need to sew them all in place with small button on top of large button and cord.

You may also add a little hot glue to glue them all together.
Voilà! I hope you will love your new necklace!
