Easy knitting stitch: a little leaf pattern
I discovered a cute knit stitch! A pretty pattern of leaves that is easy to make… Due to its texture, it would be perfect for a very soft and warm blanket.
This pattern requires a number of stitches which divides by 8. For example, you could cast on 40 stitches (8x5), like me, because the pattern repeats every 8 stitches.
So, cast on a multiple of 4 stitches. Then, knit as follows:
Row 1: Knit
Row 2: Purl
Row 3: * K4, P4;  rep from * to end.
Row 4: K3, P4, K1;  rep from * to end.
Row 5: * P2, K4, P2;  rep from * to end.
Row 6: * K1, P4, K3;  rep from * to end.
Row 7: * K3, P4, K1;  rep from * to end.
Row 8: * P2, K4, P2;  rep from * to end.
Row 9: * K1, P4, K3;  rep from * to end.
Row 10: * P4, K4;  rep from * to end.
Rep these 10 rows as you like.

I made my sample with a rustic wool (on 4mm needles) .. I think that with a tighter wool the pattern would be more defined.

Happy knitting!
